Are you a busy mom looking for easy toddler activities to make? Here are some toddler activities that don’t require a glue gun or sewing machine. Try one today. I dare ya!
As a mom I have a love/hate relationship with Pinterest . As a homeschooling mom I have a love/resent relationship with Pinterest .
You pin your hopes and dreams for the way you want your family to look. As stay at home moms, your pins are generally activities you want to do with your kids, gift or recipes to make, ways to save money, keep your family healthy, homeschool, or run your home more smoothly to bring peace to your life. Who doesn’t want more peace, right?
I don’t know the statistics of moms who move from the pinning stage to the pin tested stage. I would venture to say that most of those pins remain on cyber space dream boards never to be thought of again.
So why do I beat myself up about it? I have pin tested at least one thing I pinned. Ha! That’s pretty pitiful!
I am not particularly sad about the recipes I pinned. My family hasn’t gone hungry. I am not particularly sad about the homeschooling activities I pinned. My children have learned a lot and will continue to learn just fine.
I am, however, particularly sad about the pins that I have saved that involve activities to make for my precious toddler.
While we are doing school or I am cooking and cleaning, he has entertained himself well. Sadly, that has been with movies or playing with toys. Not at all what I had envisioned for his toddler years.
I have all these wonderful busy bags and activities saved on Pinterest thinking that one day soon I would actually do something about it. I have even saved materials that I knew I would need.
Well, today was the day. I actually tested one of the activities. I am happy and ashamed to say that it was so easy. Why the heck did I wait so long? Well, if you are a homeschool mom you can answer that. But, no more excuses!
You probably don’t even need directions on how to make this activity you can just look at the pictures. That’s how much of a no brainer it was. But I will give them to you anyway. 😊
- Toilet paper or paper towel tubes
- Painters tape
- Pom poms or other small objects that will fit down tubes
- Container to place under tubes
Use tape to attach tubes to a wall or other flat surface. Place container under tubes.
So there you go! A simple toddler activity you can make that doesn’t require a sewing machine or glue gun. Feel free to pin! 😉
